Description & Requirements

At Santos, we do work that matters and always have. When you join us, so will you.

As an ASX 20 global energy company, we’re committed to providing reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone.

To make it happen, we work as One Team and ask ourselves, “How can we?” (Even when others say, “We can’t.”)
We’re proud of our history as pioneers, problem-solvers, and pragmatists. And as we strive to achieve our Vision2040, we’ve got our sights set on a culture that is focussed and disciplined to drive value, and entrepreneurial and energised to leave a positive legacy.

The difference isn’t just thinking big – it’s delivering on it too.

As part of the team, you’ll tackle one of the most complex problems of our time. It’s no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.

GLNG Operations Pty Ltd
The GLNG joint venture, comprising Santos, Petronas, TotalEnergies and KOGAS is an unincorporated joint venture established for the purpose of operating the GLNG Plant on Curtis Island and the marketing of LNG from the GLNG Plant. GLNG OPL is the downstream operator of the GLNG Project (i.e. the GLNG Plant and the transmission pipelines).

Santos is the upstream operator of the GLNG Project and operates acreage in Fairview, Roma, Arcadia and Scotia (including the wells, the gathering systems and the gas processing hubs), to feed gas into the GLNG Plant for liquefaction.

What you’ll do:
The GLNG JV Communications Advisor plays a central role in supporting governance, decision-making, and communication across GLNG OPL and the Joint Venture. Reporting to the Team Leader JV, Corporate & Community, the role sits within the GLNG Secretariat - the primary interface with external JV partners and internal stakeholders - ensuring effective coordination, reporting, and compliance with Joint Venture Agreement obligations. The role provides day-to-day advice on joint venture communications and governance processes, while also serving as a key advisor to the GLNG CEO on internal, external, and staff communications.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Coordinate, prepare, and issue JV reports, approvals, and communications in accordance with mandated schedules
  • Act as a key liaison between JV partners and internal teams to ensure aligned messaging and compliant information flow
  • Advise senior leadership on governance responsibilities, obligations, and decision-making processes under the JVA
  • Manage JV partner queries, information access, audit processes, and maintain accurate records and documentation systems
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality external communications, including website content, stakeholder materials, and community engagement initiatives
  • Coordinate with corporate affairs and internal teams to ensure regulatory, ASX, and brand alignment across communications
  • Develop and deliver engaging internal communications, including leadership messaging, reports, presentations, and staff updates
  • Support broader engagement initiatives through events, content creation, surveys, and continuous improvement of communication effectiveness

What you’ll bring:
We are seeking a highly organised and collaborative professional with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. You bring a proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and build effective relationships across a broad range of stakeholders. Your ability to communicate clearly, think critically, and contribute to high-quality outcomes will be key to your success in this role. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
  • A qualification in governance, legal, commerce, finance, communications, marketing, or a related discipline preferred
  • Experience in governance, secretariat, communications, or corporate affairs environments highly regarded

Here, you’ll be amongst high-calibre people and get to work on industry-leading projects. We don’t shy away from solving tough problems at pace. We like it that way. You can expect to be challenged and supported; to learn and grow.

At Santos, we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. This means a place that is safe; where you are valued and respected, and your contribution is recognised and appreciated. Join us, and you’ll play a role in this too.
