As an ASX 20 global energy company, we’re committed to providing reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone.

To make it happen, we work as One Team and ask ourselves, “How can we?” (Even when others say, “We can’t.”)
We’re proud of our history as pioneers, problem-solvers, and pragmatists. And as we strive to achieve our Vision2040, we’ve got our sights set on a culture that is focussed and disciplined to drive value, and entrepreneurial and energised to leave a positive legacy.

The difference isn’t just thinking big – it’s delivering on it too.

As part of the team, you’ll tackle one of the most complex problems of our time. It’s no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.

What you’ll do:
As a Geology & Geophysics Service Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of applications within our Geology & Geophysics business service portfolio. This portfolio includes major toolsets from leading vendors such as Schlumberger, Halliburton, Petrosys, ESRI, and other key tools in the Oil & Gas industry. You will oversee the effective implementation and support of these applications, ensuring they meet the needs of our clients while driving optimal performance and value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders ensuring expectations are aligned and application of the correct policies and procedures.
  • Apply innovative thinking in area of expertise through industry and company knowledge - develop, advise, recommend and deliver plans aligning to the company's strategy.
  • Oversee Santos’ Managed Services Provider to ensure that they are providing contracted services as per expectations.
  • Champion change and foster performance culture to achieve desired culture outcomes.
  • Ensure that all Geology & Geophysics applications, whether 'on-premises', in the AWS cloud or as true SaaS offerings, are maintained effectively.
  • Implement and deliver on cost reduction efficiencies and value creation strategies where relevant to applications, platforms and 'as a service' offerings.

What you’ll bring:
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
  • TIL certification
  • Extensive experience in managing the delivery of applications in a client-side environment

With a strong background in managing and overseeing vendors across multiple projects and business-as-usual (BAU) activities, you will bring proven expertise in establishing and managing IS contracts, ensuring service levels are consistently met. Your extensive experience in stakeholder management, developing and executing IS strategies, and managing service portfolios will be key to driving successful outcomes. You will also bring a deep technical understanding of geology, geophysics, and related fields, allowing you to offer valuable insights and support in application services.

What you’ll get:
Here, you’ll be amongst high-calibre people and get to work on industry-leading projects. We don’t shy away from solving tough problems at pace. We like it that way. You can expect to be challenged and supported; to learn and grow.

At Santos, we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. This means a place that is safe; where you are valued and respected, and your contribution is recognised and appreciated. Join us, and you’ll play a role in this too.

What you’re part of:
Everywhere you turn you will be a part of a team who are coming together to contribute to our single uniting purpose - to provide reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone

And because it’s not only what you do, but how you do it, you will also contribute to improving the living standards of the communities where we operate, building enduring and respectful relationships that serve a generation. It’s about each of us, and all of us – together.
