What you’ll do:
Are you an experienced electrical specialist with a passion for high voltage systems and operational excellence? 

Join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting field teams and optimising maintenance execution across Santos’ Onshore CSG assets.

As the Electrical & High Voltage specialist, you’ll provide expert technical support for the operation and maintenance of electrical and high voltage assets. You’ll lead improvement initiatives, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards to maintain our licence to operate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead improvement projects to enhance high voltage network performance.
  • Collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to share protection system expertise.
  • Manage changes to high voltage assets and protection systems.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and project scoping
  • Act as the specialist focal point for maintenance execution and feedback to project teams.
  • Ensure timely fault rectification with minimal production impact.
  • Manage protection system inventory and critical software requirements.

What you’ll bring:
You bring a strong background in high voltage systems and live plant operations, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.

Essential Experience:
  • Experience in high voltage or power generation industry working in live plant operations or commissioning.
  • Deep understanding of AS 2067:2016 and AS/IEC 61850-6:2009 standards.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting protection relays and control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of network and communication design and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Management of Change systems and industry codes/standards.
