Description & Requirements

At Santos, we do work that matters and always have. When you join us, so will you.

As an ASX 20 global energy company, we’re committed to providing reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone.

To make it happen, we work as One Team and ask ourselves, “How can we?” (Even when others say, “We can’t.”)
We’re proud of our history as pioneers, problem-solvers, and pragmatists. And as we strive to achieve our Vision2040, we’ve got our sights set on a culture that is focussed and disciplined to drive value, and entrepreneurial and energised to leave a positive legacy.

The difference isn’t just thinking big – it’s delivering on it too.

As part of the team, you’ll tackle one of the most complex problems of our time. It’s no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.

What you’ll do:
Based on site at Fairview Field, you will play an important role in supporting the scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities for GLNG Pipeline assets. You will be responsible to ensure work is scheduled and delivered safely, efficiently and in line with company procedures, industry standards and relevant legislation.

This is a 2/2 FIFO role with Brisbane airport as the point of hire. Applicants must reside in QLD to be eligible.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities for GLNG Pipelines in line with maintenance standards and priorities.
  • Working closely with planners, team leaders and engineers to lead scheduling meetings and keep work plans on track, and within compliance windows.
  • Helping optimise the use of people and resources by considering skills, experience, location and operational needs.
  • Managing schedule changes when unexpected issues arise and working with office-based teams to adjust plans.
  • Supporting scheduled work through to completion, including confirming equipment, materials, labour and logistics.
  • Using CMMS systems such as SAP S4 Hana Fiori and Prometheus to support pipeline reliability and maintenance tracking.
  • Preparing clear written and verbal communications, including reports and updates for relevant teams.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and records within the Pipelines intranet Team Site.

What you’ll bring:
We are looking for a motivated candidate with experience in maintenance coordination or scheduling. Experience working with pipelines or in the energy industry will be highly regarded. You will be organised, proactive and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders to keep maintenance activities running smoothly. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience coordinating or scheduling maintenance activities while managing competing priorities.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt when plans change.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and spreadsheets.
  • Good scheduling capability and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or scheduling tools such as SAP or Prometheus.
  • Ability to review and understand technical documentation, standards and internal procedures.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work well in a team and build positive working relationships.

Ideally, you will hold a relevant trade or technical qualification and/or have experience in the petroleum or energy industry. Additional qualifications in project management would be highly regarded.

What you’ll get:
Here, you’ll be amongst high-calibre people and get to work on industry-leading projects. We don’t shy away from solving tough problems at pace. We like it that way. You can expect to be challenged and supported; to learn and grow.

At Santos, we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. This means a place that is safe; where you are valued and respected, and your contribution is recognised and appreciated. Join us, and you’ll play a role in this too.

Each of our sites offer access to specific amenities that aim to create the best possible benefits to your health, wellbeing and performance.

What you’re part of:
Everywhere you turn you will be a part of a team who are coming together to contribute to our single uniting purpose - to provide reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone

And because it’s not only what you do, but how you do it, you will also contribute to improving the living standards of the communities where we operate, building enduring and respectful relationships that serve a generation. It’s about each of us, and all of us – together.

How to Apply:
Applications must be submitted via the online recruitment system before 29th March 2025.

A requirement of this role is that you will need to have in place the legal work rights for Australia to apply.
