What you’ll do:
This role will lead and manage the Pipeline and Metering teams in maintaining PNGLNG Gas Pipeline assets, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. You will manage contractors, oversee tool calibration, and coordinate Central Maintenance Team safety meetings. 

This role will be based on site at Iagifu Ridge on 28/28 day roster. 
  
Key accountabilities include:  
  • Pipeline Maintenance: Ensure all diesel generator and MLV PMs and general troubleshooting take place. Support the team to ensure the following processes are completed; HVAC troubleshooting, lighting replacement, Fire and Gas testing, valve inspection, instrumentation inspection and repair, UPS battery systems testing and replacement.
  • Metering & Measurement: Ensure all preventative maintenance, calibration, and repairs on fiscal meters, meter provers, metering skids, export metering, and related E/I/mechanical systems. 
  • Contractor Management: Supervise embedded and external contractors, ensuring performance aligns with KPIs and Santos Life Saving Rules. 
  • Critical Tools & Equipment: Ensure tools and equipment calibrations are up to date. Ensure that the tools remain in proper working condition to support operational success.
  • Team Development: Conduct regular 1-on-1 feedback sessions to assess team competency, career aspirations, and training needs. 
  
What you’ll bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive post trade experience in the oil and gas (or similar) environment, Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certification Qualification, and basic knowledge of maintenance SAP system. Your proven ability to lead high performing teams, demonstrate excellent understanding of industry safety requirements and have experience within an electro/mechanical environment are essential, along with:
  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Readily able to read, understand and interpret applicable drawings.
  • Good communication skills within the work group and with others as required, and the ability to communicate with your team when they are working remotely. 
  • The ability to work closely with other maintenance teams to ensure resources are used effectively.
  • Takes a holistic approach to maintaining mechanical equipment reliability and optimisation.
  • Actively pursue opportunities for the team to refine technical skills by their participation in career development opportunities and targeted training when gaps have been identified.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
