What you’ll do:
In this role, you’ll provide hands-on technical support and coordination to field Team Leaders, helping to deliver preventative and corrective maintenance, equipment overhauls, shutdowns, and project upgrades. You’ll play a key part in ensuring schedule compliance and high-quality execution, while actively identifying and resolving daily risks in collaboration with stakeholders. Drawing on your technical and trade expertise, you’ll drive continuous improvement across the Centralised Maintenance Team, enhancing performance and reliability in every aspect of maintenance delivery.

Key accountabilities include:  

Schedule & Execution
  • Drive schedule compliance across the maintenance team
  • Participate in area schedule reviews and provide feedback for improvements
  • Review corrective maintenance work orders to confirm scope, resources, and materials prior to release
  • Support fortnightly scheduling by identifying potential shortfalls in labour and materials
Systems & Contractor Interfaces
  • Facilitate and chair monthly Integrated Working Team (IWT) sessions with key contractors - Delete
  • Coordinate updates and reviews of key operating procedures
  • Maintain and update the team’s KPI dashboard
  • Liaise with training providers to align training schedules with operational rosters, minimising impact
Field-Facing Support
  • Regularly visit field teams to build strong working relationships
  • Step into Team Leader duties when required
  • Support SPOC campaigns and TPOs as needed
  • Assist with MDCRs, BOMs, parts issues, and TIN reviews to ensure accurate and current information
  • Support delivery and location of maintenance manifests, confirming parts and security requirements
Stakeholder Relationships
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key maintenance contractors and OEMs
  • Collaborate with technical and project engineering teams to uphold workpack quality
  • Work closely with planning and scheduling teams to challenge and improve work order quality and scheduling efficiency
  

What you’ll bring:
You are a technically skilled and proactive maintenance professional with a strong background in Oil & Gas operations. You thrive in a fast-paced, field-facing environment and bring a collaborative mindset to working with cross-functional teams and contractors. You enjoy balancing technical detail with coordination and relationship-building, and you take ownership of delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance outcomes. 

You will be experienced in:  
  • Significant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong understanding of systems, tools, and industry standards
  • A solid understanding of maintenance scheduling, execution, and systems 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance processes and outcomes 
  • Ability to step into leadership roles when needed and support frontline teams effectively
  • Exposure to rotating equipment, reciprocating engines, and compressors (advantageous but not essential) 
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry experience in a technical discipline
  • Trade Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation (desirable but not mandatory)
