What you’ll do:
The role will be to coordinate local fixed-wing and rotary-wing flight operations to ensure adherence to flight plans and safety standards, covering scheduled, project, unplanned, and emergency response tasks. You will manage contractors and stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient service delivery, including resource and personnel planning.

This position is located at Moro Aerodrome on a 28 on/28 off FIFO roster.
  
Key accountabilities include:  
  • Manage daily flight operations, including scheduled, ad-hoc, medevac, VIP, RPAS (UAV), and third-party tasks. 
  • Oversee the daily flight schedule, ensuring aircraft availability and maintenance. 
  • Coordinate with users, operators, contractors, and dispatch for safe and efficient tasking.
  • Oversee terminal and ground operations for passenger, cargo, and aircraft movements. 
  • Support emergency response activities. 
  • Ensure aerodrome, contractor, and safety reporting meets regulatory and company standards. 
  • Maintain compliance with training, technical, and competency requirements for yourself and your team. 
  • Contribute to the Santos Management System, corporate governance, and safety management compliance. 
  • Review and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and IOGP 690/590.
  • Manage contracts, interacting with contractors and projects at the operational level. 
  • Identify and manage operational risks, applying lessons learned and continuous improvement strategies. 
  
What you’ll bring:
The ideal candidate will have up to 5 years’ experience in aviation operations, Rotary and/or Fixed-wing planning and coordination, exposure to Oil and Gas operations, and current PNG Driver’s Licence. Your ability to understand risk assessment, hazard identification and mitigation processes is essential, along with a sound knowledge of Aerodrome, remote logistics, and/or project management and International Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP) aviation standards. You should be capable of attaining CASA PNG fit and proper person endorsement and Aerodrome Reporting Officer certification in the short-term.
