As an ASX 20 global energy company, we’re committed to providing reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone.

To make it happen, we work as One Team and ask ourselves, “How can we?” (Even when others say, “We can’t.”)
We’re proud of our history as pioneers, problem-solvers, and pragmatists. And as we strive to achieve our Vision2040, we’ve got our sights set on a culture that is focussed and disciplined to drive value, and entrepreneurial and energised to leave a positive legacy.

The difference isn’t just thinking big – it’s delivering on it too.

As part of the team, you’ll tackle one of the most complex problems of our time. It’s no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in SMS activities, including audits, inspections, prestart reviews, and emergency response exercises.
  • Operate equipment safely and in compliance with standard operating procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and uphold EHS performance and behaviour standards.
  • Apply technical expertise in PLC controls, variable speed drives, motor controls, safety systems, generators, and pneumatic and electronic process control instrumentation.
  • Perform instrument commissioning and work with safety-critical systems; diagnose and repair instrumentation and electrical equipment for oil and gas production and processing.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of scheduled shutdowns; provide input to schedules and drive schedule compliance.
  • Support unplanned or emergency plant shutdowns, including PLC/DCS diagnostics using electrical schematics and P&IDs.
  • Monitor and maintain production equipment to enhance operating life, prevent damage, and correct product quality deviations.
  • Provide on-the-job training, mentor apprentices and new starters, and share technical knowledge with colleagues.
  • Liaise closely with operations, maintenance planning, production, accounting, and Field Support Engineers to resolve issues and achieve maintenance and production goals.
  • Ensure ongoing equipment reliability through planned, breakdown, and preventive maintenance and regular inspections.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve processes, and communicate suggestions for improvement.
  • Adhere to Reliability Management Plans, Integrity Plans, and ensure all scheduled statutory PMs are completed.
  • Stay current with regulatory developments relevant to the instrumentation and electrical trade.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the CMT Team Leader.

What you’ll bring:
