We’re proud of our history as pioneers, problem-solvers, and pragmatists. And as we strive to achieve our Vision2040, we’ve got our sights set on a culture that is focussed and disciplined to drive value, and entrepreneurial and energised to leave a positive legacy.

The difference isn’t just thinking big – it’s delivering on it too.

As part of the team, you’ll tackle one of the most complex problems of our time. It’s no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.

  • Monitor production data and support continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reduce waste
  • Maintain positive relationships with landholders and uphold strong communication across stakeholders
  • Provide on-the-job training, support team development and maintain required competencies including Permit Authority

What you’ll bring:
We’re looking for a motivated and safety-focused operator with strong experience in oil and gas production and maintenance. Your clear communication, teamwork and ownership of safe, reliable operations will be key. You will also be able to demonstrate:
  • Mechanical / Instrumental / Electrical experience within the oil and gas industry
  • Proven ability to execute scheduled and routine maintenance while managing competing priorities
  • A proactive, solutions-driven approach, with confidence responding to unplanned events and preventing issues from escalating
  • Strong operational capability in operating, monitoring and isolating production equipment
  • Experience supervising contractors and upholding safety requirements, including permit-to-work and hazard management
  • Effective communication and collaboration across operations, engineering and field teams
  • Experience using OEC or a similar system to complete inspections, record activities and support planning
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical documents, maintenance plans and safety standards
  • Commitment to positive stakeholder relationships, including landholders, and contributing to a supportive team culture
  • Current driver’s licence is required, and tractor licence would be desirable
  • High-risk work licences (e.g. forklift, dogging, crane competencies) and relevant trade qualification/s are highly regarded.

What you’ll get:
Here, you’ll be amongst high-calibre people and get to work on industry-leading projects. We don’t shy away from solving tough problems at pace. We like it that way. You can expect to be challenged and supported; to learn and grow.

At Santos, we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. This means a place that is safe; where you are valued and respected, and your contribution is recognised and appreciated. Join us, and you’ll play a role in this too.
