What you’ll do:
Based in Brisbane, as the PNG Maintenance Specialist you will be responsible for implementing, stewarding, and improving the use of the Santos Management System (SMS) maintenance processes across the PNG organisation. 

Your role will lead continuous improvement across all levels of the PNG operation related to maintenance. You will assist in Maintenance teams in optimising asset management and maintenance workflows, ensuring processes are followed and CMSS is utilised effectively. You will be responsible for monitoring KPI’s, explore opportunities for process improvements, and guiding the maintenance teams to develop and implement CMMS practices daily.
 
Key accountabilities include: 
  • Implement and streamline the Santos SMS maintenance processes to ensure they meet operational needs. 
  • Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams, lead them through the SMS maintenance process journey to ensure smooth adoption, integration and optimization. 
  • Collaborate with Planning & Scheduling teams to ensure scope, plan and execute processes are followed effectively, address challenges and improve workflows. 
  • Mentor and guide national staff to enhance their proficiency in CMMS and related tools and maintenance practices.
  • Provide hands-on training, develop instructional resources, lead workshops that empower teams to utilise CMMS effectively. 
  • Ensure maintenance activities align with Santos Management System (SMS), Delegation of Authority (DOA), and Corporate Governance standards. 
  • Maintain regional dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time insights.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business and provide guidance on maintenance strategies. 

What you’ll bring:
  • Significant experience in Oil and Gas preferred, particularly in maintenance processes and CMMS management. 
  • Demonstrated leadership in supporting operations teams and ability to influence diverse teams. 
  • Strong communications skills, ability to prepare and deliver clear reports and presentations and facilitate training sessions for diverse teams. 
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess complex maintenance data
  • Detail orientated ensuring accuracy in work orders, system entries and operational analysis. 
  • Experience in engineering, compliance and regulatory practices. 
  • Proficient in SAP, focus on master data management and configuration. 
  • Proficient in work scheduling tools. Prometheus preferred. 
Ideally tertiary qualified with a Bachelor of Engineering or a Trade qualification with related experience in maintenance planning, scheduling and CMMS management. 

Must be willing and able to travel to PNG as required.
