To make it happen, we work as One Team and ask ourselves, “How can we?” (Even when others say, “We can’t.”)
We’re proud of our history as pioneers, problem-solvers, and pragmatists. And as we strive to achieve our Vision2040, we’ve got our sights set on a culture that is focussed and disciplined to drive value, and entrepreneurial and energised to leave a positive legacy.

The difference isn’t just thinking big – it’s delivering on it too.

As part of the team, you’ll tackle one of the most complex problems of our time. It’s no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.

What you’ll do:

The Project Engineer will provide engineering support for Brownfields surface equipment projects, primarily in the Cooper Basin. This role involves supporting the entire project lifecycle and requires effective stakeholder management, time management, and priority setting.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Production, Operations, Drilling & Completions) to define and develop scope.
  • Manage consultants and contractors to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals.
  • Ensure compliance with internal, regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Review and distribute vendor, design, and operational data to Operations.
  • Oversee Management of Change (MOC) with Technical Authorities to stay within scope and budget.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design and project execution.
  • Support project controls through detailed estimates and reporting.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Support cost efficiency by challenging design and contractor methods.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the field, supporting field teams and contractors.

What you’ll bring:
The ideal candidate will have relevant site-based experience, a solid background in engineering and/or project engineering roles, exposure to the full project lifecycle (Define to Execute), and familiarity with brownfield project complexities. A strong understanding of production systems, gathering networks, and processing facilities, including water management, is essential, along with:
  • Engineering degree qualified.
  • Minimum of 5 years Engineering experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge in Oil & Gas developments and operations.
  • Clear communicator of scope, business cases, and recommendations across diverse teams and levels.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with team members, contractors and stakeholders.
  • CPEng and/or RPEQ highly favourable.
  • Project Management qualifications and EEHA competencies desirable.
