As an ASX 20 global energy company, we’re committed to providing reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone.

To make it happen, we work as One Team and ask ourselves, “How can we?” (Even when others say, “We can’t.”)
We’re proud of our history as pioneers, problem-solvers, and pragmatists. And as we strive to achieve our Vision2040, we’ve got our sights set on a culture that is focussed and disciplined to drive value, and entrepreneurial and energised to leave a positive legacy.

The difference isn’t just thinking big – it’s delivering on it too.

As part of the team, you’ll tackle one of the most complex problems of our time. It’s no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.

What you’ll do:
Based in the Santos Brisbane office, this position ensures Santos’ compliance with financial and contractual commitments to landholders through the analysis and administration of contractual documentation, supporting information, and associated financial obligations.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
  • Provide ongoing system support, maintain data quality, and assist stakeholders across departments

What you’ll bring:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced candidate with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, complemented by excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You bring a proactive approach to your work, with the ability to take ownership, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes. Your attention to detail, collaborative style, and drive for continuous improvement will enable you to build strong relationships and contribute to positive business outcomes. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Strong contract and economic analysis capability
  • Proven experience translating business requirements into meaningful data insights and reporting solutions
  • Experience in data modelling and structuring datasets for reporting and analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, and advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries for reporting, data analysis, and data extraction
  • Experience building reports from relational databases and transforming data for reporting purposes
  • Advanced computer literacy with the ability to effectively utilise enterprise systems
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, and manage workloads effectively
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant area of Law, Accounting or relevant Oil and Gas experience

Desirable experience includes:
  • Understanding of rural communities, land practices, and the agricultural sector
  • Familiarity with the resources sector and land access frameworks
  • Petroleum and/or property industry experience
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and the Microsoft Power Platform
