About the Role
Based at our global headquarters in Adelaide, Santos is seeking a Senior Economics Analyst to join the Corporate Planning and Economics department.

Reporting to the Manager Economic Modelling and Analysis, this position is responsible for generating and communicating economics and analysis relating to project development, asset commercialisation and investment opportunities. You will be required to deliver evaluations and analysis in line with the company purpose, vision and values and in accordance with the Santos Management System.

Key responsibilities include: 
  • Build and maintain economic models for asset hubs and projects 
  • Generate economics for long-term plans in consultation with the relevant planners
  • Produce and communicate deterministic and probabilistic economic evaluation for asset hubs and sub developments
  • Provide analytical support for technical, commercial and contractual arrangements
  • Generate inputs to Excom, CEO, Board and other decision support papers
  • Generate and communicate corporate assurance economics for the corporate gating process 
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of the energy industry including market dynamics, pricing & infrastructure

About You
You will be dynamic and highly skilled with a passion for driving impactful decisions in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background and tertiary qualifications in Economics, Finance, Commerce, Geoscience, or Engineering. 
You will thrive in activities that allow you to shape strategy and make informed decisions. Your strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills will enable you to collaborate seamlessly with both internal teams and external partners, ensuring effective and efficient decision-making. Your proactive approach and desire to achieve exceptional results will be essential to your success in the role.

Ideally, you will be degree qualified in Economics or Engineering or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
