What you’ll do:
Based at our office in Brisbane, this role will  generate and analyse the economics of projects and operations  for long term planning, thereby enabling effective and efficient decision-making for Commercial including joint ventures. will support asset optimisation, economic analysis for commercial projects, mandates and negotiations, capital allocation and investment/divestment activities with economic modelling and analysis, while developing and maintaining standardised assets. 
  
Key accountabilities include:  
  • Lead asset and asset-hub specific modelling and economic analysis required for:
    - Corporate modelling
    - Sanction gating
    - M&A sell-down and acquisition economics  relating to commercial GSA proposals, assessing value of commercial transactions and other proposals.
    - General company-wide project decision making
  • Act as a critical interface between Planning and Group Portfolio & Planning.
  • On a needs-basis, provide surge capacity support to the Corporate Planning Team
  • Provide sales case economics and vendor models for M&A sell-downs and acquisitions 
  • Generate economics for:
    - Exploration, Farm-in and Retention Lease evaluations
    - Project implementation lookbacks
    - ATE / ATC and other decision papers
    - Midstream and tolling evaluations
  
What you’ll bring:

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Economics, Commerce, Geoscience or Engineering and attained attendance at appropriate industry course and training. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is essential, along with:
  • Oil and Gas industry and/or relevant professional services experience.
  • Substantial experience in an analytical or reporting role, working with the analysis of data from complex data sets, in an ASX professional services setting.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Experience in a technical / commercial / business environment in construction and maintenance of financial models with ahigh level of modelling accuracy.
  • Competence in identifying improvements, driving change and challenging assumptions where requires, exhibiting an owner’s mindset in all activities that are undertaken.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to project deadlines.
