About the Role
Located at our Brisbane headquarters, this role is dedicated to strategically managing occupational health and hygiene risks across both national and international sites. The position is responsible for creating and implementing tailored standards, programs, and technical guidance, as well as enhancing organisational capability through collaboration and coaching to ensure effective and high-level OHS strategies.
Key accountabilities include:  
  • Ensuring compliance with company standards, procedures, and local legislative requirements related to occupational health and hygiene.
  • Oversee the process and outcomes of occupational exposure assessments.
  • Influence operational leaders and HSER managers to implement risk controls based on occupational hygiene assessments.
  • Supporting the BU in developing and implementing monitoring and sampling plans.
  • Build organisational capability in occupational health and hygiene risk management through coaching HSER teams and operational leaders.
  • Develop and maintain competency requirements and training to manage occupational health and hygiene risks on the frontline.
  • Support the investigation of workplace exposure standard exceedances and other occupational health and hygiene incidents and illnesses.
  • Manage providers to ensure services meet required standards and comply with contractual and legislative obligations.
About You
You should have a thorough understanding of Australian OHS legislative compliance standards and be an adaptable, innovative thinker with a results-oriented approach. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to mentor and collaborate with senior stakeholders and lead investigations. Your ability to proactively work autonomously, along with your resilience and eagerness to learn, will be crucial to your success in this role.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Hygiene, Science, Engineering, Allied Health, or OHS & Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH)
Experience in incident investigations using methodologies such as Taproot, ICAM, or similar will be highly regarded.
