What you’ll do:
This role will optimise production by identifying and eliminating production losses, leveraging data analysis, surveillance, and continuous improvement to add new volumes while minimising emissions. 

This is a Brisbane based office role supporting our PNG assets. This is an exciting opportunity to generate unique and sustainable engineering improvements within the opportunity-rich PNG asset. Travel to PNG is required approximately 2 times per year.
  
Key accountabilities include:  
  • Work closely with Well Services, Reservoir Development and Operations teams to create innovative solutions to long-standing opportunities
  • Lead production growth opportunities with stakeholders for evaluation and execution. 
  • Plan and support well interventions and sub-surface studies.
  • Identify and contribute to production add, defence, and emissions reduction opportunities. 
  • Prepare and manage well testing, SGS, and zone change schedules. 
  • Perform monthly capacity assessments and justify changes vs targets.
  • Oversee asset-specific scopes, MOCs, IRRs, RTPs, RTS, and field responses. 
  • Deliver monthly production performance updates.
  • Contribute to business reporting (WIP, Deep Dive, LTP, Targets).
  • Align and standardise subsurface production engineering processes.
  • Oversee well services schedule, downhole issue resolution, and scope reviews. 
  • Support IFR/PTL workshops and team scorecard delivery. 
  • Assist in building annual production forecast, LTP, Capex/Opex budgets.
  • Review and coordinate sand management strategies and guidelines.
  • Provide field guidance via well modelling, nodal analysis, and testing plans.
  • Analyse flow assurance (hydrate, wax) and define chemical treatment needs. 
  
What you’ll bring:
We are looking for a capable and experienced Production Engineer to join our team. Your strong ethical standards, professionalism, and thorough understanding of EHS and risk management processes is key, along with:
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Petroleum, Mining).
  • Proficient in use of Prosper and GAP modelling software. 
  • Experience in conventional oil and gas assets and Gas lift system
  • Sound understanding of surface production facilities and processes. 
  • RPEQ and/or CPEng highly desired (required for Senior)
