About the Role
Based in POM in a Mon – Fri position.   This position is responsible for leading all Santos supply chain operations in POM, PNG ensuring equipment and freight is available to all PNGBU departments in line with operational requirements and Santos values.
 
Key accountabilities include:  
  • Lead all POM supply chain activities to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness objectives are met.
  • Address matters affecting PNG supply chain operations to ensure inventory is maintained and delivered in a fit-for-purpose manner.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support cross-functional activities.
  • Prioritise comprehensive supply chain movements across multi-modal activities including road and sea transport activities for the safe and timely carriage of the Company’s diverse freight profile.
  • Coordinate reverse logistics functions for equipment and inventory including distribution, internal allocation, delivery, recycling, reuse and final disposal of resources.
  • Liaise with PNGBU departments to define, plan, prioritise, deliver and support operational movements to ensure maximum value is derived from the Company’s supply chain function.
  • Facilitate continuous improvements to internal and external supply chain systems and processes
  • Establish and utilise specific supply chain-based performance metrics to monitor and maximise logistics efficiencies to achieve cost savings and performance targets.
  • Ensure Supply Chain Contractors performance expectations are managed and are in line with contract KPI’s, whilst ensuring all contractors are operating in line with Santos Management Standards.
  
About You
The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical, processing, planning and organisational skills, be an excellent communicator and have the ability to handle multiple complex tasks, as well as: 
  • Extensive operational supply chain management experience in remote and challenging environments
  • Demonstrated ability to operate logistics functions in a remote and challenging environment requiring accurate and time-sensitive work outcomes
  • Fundamental ERP competency
  • Experience in international and domestic freight forwarding functions and processes
  • Cargo handling including marine stowage, road transport procedures and practices
  • Relevant study in warehousing, supply chain or materials management would be beneficial
  • Strong cultural awareness mindset specific to PNG

Ideally you will have Cert IV Transport & Distribution, a Forklift Licence and CoR Level 2.
