What you’ll do
Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Manager – Cultural Heritage & Aboriginal Engagement, this role provides leadership and strategic oversight to ensure Santos meets all regulatory, financial and contractual obligations with Onshore Traditional Owners and contract entities.
• Lead a small team delivering governance and compliance outcomes across Cultural Heritage and Aboriginal Engagement activities.
• Oversee contracts, agreements, statutory instruments and systems to ensure lawful access and regulatory compliance.
• Act as a trusted governance adviser to projects and assets, embedding compliance and risk management into planning and delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement of governance processes, systems and training aligned to the Santos Management System.
• Ensure timely, value adding engagement with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Corporations.
What you’ll bring
• Tertiary qualification in Management, Business, Finance, Law or similar.
• Experience in Cultural Heritage, Native Title and/or strategic approvals, ideally within resources, energy or mining.
• Strong knowledge of Cultural Heritage and Native Title legislation, contract law and land tenure is desirable.
• Proven leadership capability and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• High level analytical, planning, process improvement and systems capability.
