What You'll Do
Join our team at Santos as a Field Telecommunications Technician! Your primary objective will be to provide quality, cost-effective maintenance, installation, fault finding, and repair of our telecommunication infrastructure and assets throughout our field operations. This FIFO role with a 14 on 14 off roster, is crucial in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our systems, in line with company values and the Santos Management System. 
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine servicing and repair of voice, radio, and data equipment and systems.
• Configure, test, and fault find two-way vehicle/handheld radios (DMR, P25, and Analogue).
• Configure, test, and fault find telemetry systems (Private LTE, Narrowband, or other).
• Install, test, and repair fibre optic cabling, solar power systems, DC battery systems, UPS, or small generators and unlicensed and licensed microwave systems.
• Support existing MATV systems and other distributed TV entertainment systems.
• Provide field support for IS Corporate Network and Customer Service activities.
• Perform initial network infrastructure and/or cabling testing and engage third-party vendors for repairs and maintenance as required.
• Undertake other duties as directed by the Field Telecommunications Team Leader.

What You'll Bring
Demonstrated experience in the Telecommunication or ICT industry coupled with previous experience working with microwave radio systems, LTE, and Digital Radio systems such as P25/DMR.
It is essential you hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and ideally you are ACMA Open Registered Cabler Licence with relevant endorsements.
