What you’ll do:
In this role, you will support the coordination and governance of tenure management activities across the Company’s Australian onshore exploration, development, and production operations. Working across regulatory, operational, and compliance requirements, the role will contribute to the effective administration and monitoring of tenure obligations while supporting broader business activities.  

Key accountabilities include:  
  • Prepare, review, and support accurate technical reports and data submissions for regulatory bodies. 
  • Provide technical support to the tenure team across upstream operations. 
  • Promote tenure management and compliance standards aligned with company policies. 
  • Support the development and implementation of tenure-related standards and processes. 
  • Provide tenure advice throughout the full asset lifecycle, from planning to rehabilitation. 
  • Advise on tenure approval pathways, compliance obligations, risks, and opportunities. 
  • Support governance and assurance processes for tenure data within Landfolio and related systems. 
  • Assist internal stakeholders with tenure matters, projects, and related activities. 
  • Maintain current knowledge of onshore resource legislation, regulations, standards, and industry practices. 
  • Build relationships with regulators and represent the company in industry and government forums where required.  

What you’ll bring: 
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented candidate with experience in tenure management, regulatory compliance, or a related technical discipline. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across the business. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Similar experience in a relevant technical or operational discipline
  • Knowledge of petroleum legislation, tenure procedures, and associated systems
  • Oil & gas, or mining industry experienced highly regarded
  • Understanding of government processes and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in technical and administrative work
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to review and interpret technical documentation, legislation, and company procedures
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance standards and supporting continuous improvement
  • Degree qualification or equivalent tertiary and/or relevant industry experience in a technical field
